Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are an agreement between you and Opie Studio Inc. ("we", "us", or "our"), a company incorporated in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, governing your use of the vvid.tv website and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Description of the Service
vvid.tv is a web-based media playback and management tool: you can play YouTube and Bilibili links, and organize them into a personal media library. The Service is provided solely as a "player and media management tool"; we claim no rights in, and do not review or endorse, the third-party content to which your added links point.
2. Accounts
Certain features require you to register an account. You sign in using a one-time verification code sent to your email, and you are responsible for all activity under your account and for the security of your email address. You must have reached the age of full legal capacity in your jurisdiction (18 years of age in the Province of Ontario), or otherwise use the Service with the consent of a guardian.
3. Your Content and Responsibilities
"Your Content" means the links you add and any materials you create within the Service. You represent and warrant that:
- you own or have obtained all rights and authorizations necessary to use and play Your Content;
- Your Content and your use of the Service do not infringe any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights, and do not violate the terms of service of any third-party platform or any applicable law;
- you will not use the Service to engage in any unlawful, infringing, or unauthorized activity.
You are solely and fully responsible for Your Content and for any consequences arising from it. The Service acts merely as a neutral playback and media management tool; the content to which your added links point is provided by the respective third parties, and we are not responsible for its legality, accuracy, or availability.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree that you will not: submit or distribute unlawful, infringing, obscene, or malicious content; infringe the rights of others; use the Service for large-scale scraping, resale, or commercial redistribution; circumvent or interfere with the Service's quota, billing, or security mechanisms; or reverse-engineer the Service or otherwise disrupt its normal operation. We may restrict, suspend, or terminate any account that violates these Terms.
5. Subscriptions and Billing
- The Service offers a free tier (Free) and paid subscription tiers (Basic, Plus, Max). Paid tiers are priced in U.S. dollars (USD); see the plans page for details. Basic, Plus and Max were previously named Commuter, Roadtrip and Roadtrip Max; the rename does not change prices or benefits.
- Ready Space keeps ready videos playable up to the capacity included with your plan, except videos that are removed, unavailable, or over the length limit; videos beyond your capacity are made ready again on demand and are never removed from your library.
- Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You may cancel at any time in the app or through the billing portal, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Payments are processed by Stripe; you agree to comply with the applicable Stripe terms. We do not store your full payment card details.
- Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. We may adjust prices and will provide advance notice of material changes.
6. Intellectual Property and Infringement Notices
The software, interfaces, trademarks, and related materials of the Service are owned by Opie Studio Inc. and are protected by law. If you believe that any content on the Service infringes your rights, please contact us at support@vvid.tv with sufficient information, and we will address it promptly in accordance with applicable law.
7. Disclaimer
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that third-party content will remain available at all times.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages; and our aggregate liability for the Service shall not exceed the amount you actually paid for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. If you breach these Terms, we may suspend or terminate your access to the Service. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall continue to apply.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada (excluding its conflict-of-laws rules). Any dispute arising out of these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Ontario.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date on this page or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Service after such changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
